Board-Certified Pediatric Dentist
Dr. Rachel Forer
Dr. Rachel Forer is a Board-Certified Pediatric Dentist through the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Raised in Southern California, her passion for dentistry was sparked at the age of 7 by her own positive experiences with her dentist and orthodontist. Dr. Forer is dedicated to inspiring the next generation of dentists, fostering a positive and comfortable environment in the dental office.
She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Davis, majoring in Biological Sciences with an emphasis on Neurology, Physiology, and Behavior, and minoring in Psychology. During her time at UC Davis, she was actively involved in philanthropy through the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority and was a committed member of UC Davis’ all-female a cappella group, the Spokes.
Dr. Forer obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of California, San Francisco. In addition to participating in student organizations and her dental fraternity, Xi Psi Phi, she was awarded the Osher Scholarship for her dedication to serving underserved populations and the Student Humanitarian Award for her international altruistic efforts and generosity.
She completed a one-year General Practice Residency at the VA Portland Healthcare System in Oregon before returning to the Bay Area to practice general dentistry. Driven by her passion for pediatric dentistry, Dr. Forer then completed a two-year specialized Pediatric Dentistry Residency through UCSF at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland. Upon graduation, she was recognized with the Ray Braham award for her exceptional skills in clinical pediatric dentistry and her ability to treat patients with special needs.
Dr. Forer is a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, California Society of Pediatric Dentistry, and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. She holds credentials at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland and has privileges at both Children’s Hospital Oakland and the Walnut Creek outpatient surgery center.
In her free time, Dr. Forer enjoys spending time with her husband, whom she met at UC Davis, and their two Samoyed doggies, Pearl and Onyx. She also loves to explore the world through travel.
